The 21st Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports Association (FEASSSA) games are set to take place in Uganda from 16th to 27th August. The event will be hosted in Bukedea district, with Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College School serving as the primary venues. Matches will be held across several locations, including five football pitches at Amus College and the main stadium in Bukedea.
Last year’s edition took place in Huye city, Rwanda, where St Mary’s Kitende clinched the boys’ football title, and Kawempe Muslim won the girls’ final.
In this year’s boys’ football competition, Kenya’s champions, Highway Secondary School, have been drawn in the same group as defending champions St Mary’s Kitende (Uganda), Bukedea Comprehensive School (Uganda), Kenya’s third-place finishers St Joseph’s Boys Kitale, and Tanzania’s Benjamin Mkapa Secondary School.
Pool B features Kenya’s runners-up, Musingu High School, alongside co-host Amus College School (Uganda), APE Rugunga Secondary School (Rwanda), Kalangala Secondary School (Tanzania), and Uganda’s St Julian Secondary School.
In the girls’ football competition, Kenya’s representatives Nyakach Girls and St Joseph’s Girls have been placed in Pool A with defending champions Kawempe Muslim Secondary School (Uganda), GS Remera Rukoma (Rwanda), and Uganda’s St Noa Girls School.
Kenya’s champions Butere Girls High School will compete in Pool B, facing off against two Tanzanian teams and two Ugandan teams.
