Timothy Ouma Goes AWOL on Harambee Stars Despite Being Released by Swedish Club
Sweden-based midfielder Timothy Ouma will not be with the Kenyan national football team, Harambee Stars, for their AFCON 2025 Qualifier against Namibia tomorrow afternoon in South Africa.
Ouma also missed the previous match against Zimbabwe on Friday, despite his club, Elfsborg, announcing that he was away with the national team.
Reliable sources indicate that the player is currently in Kenya but has been unreachable by phone.

When asked about the situation, Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat referred Passion Sports to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), saying, “Only the federation can answer that.” FKF, however, directed Passion Sports back to the player, with FKF Media Officer Ken Okaka stating, “The best person to answer that is the player.”
Harambee Stars played to a 0-0 draw with Zimbabwe on Friday and are eager to bounce back by picking the three points when they face Namibia at the Orlando Stadium in South Africa on Tuesday evening.
