Omija ready for new challenge after Omani contract ends
Kenyan international Alphonce Omija is set to leave his current club, Dhofar in Oman, after his contract expired. Despite being offered a renewal, Omija has decided to seek new opportunities.
Omija, a former Kariobangi Sharks and Gor Mahia defender, shared his decision with Passion Sports.
“I have made up my mind. My contract with Dhofar ended, and though I’ve been offered a one-year renewal, I want to pursue a fresh challenge,” he said.

The 21-year-old defender mentioned that several clubs from Europe and the UAE are interested in signing him.
“I have offers from other clubs in the UAE and Europe. My management team and I will meet next week to decide on the way forward,” he added.
Transfer Market values Omija at slightly over Ksh 31 Million. He was part of Kenya’s COSAFA Cup squad in South Africa and seems to have cemented his position in the senior Kenyan football national team following his performances recently.
