KCB FC Squeeze Past Ulinzi Stars to Go Top of FKF Premier League
Francis Kahiro’s lone strike secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory for KCB FC against Ulinzi Stars in a tense FKF Premier League clash at the Police Sacco Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The win propels the bankers to the top of the table with ten points from four matches, boasting three victories and a draw. KCB Head Coach Patrick Odhiambo praised his team’s resilience, stating: “The boys came out to compete against a very tough opponent. We knew they’d cause problems, so we focused on neutralizing them both offensively and defensively. We just need to keep winning and performing at the highest level, which is what I demand from my players.”
Goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo was once again a standout, earning another clean sheet thanks to strong defensive displays from Haniff Wesonga, Lameck Oloo, Kevin Okumu, and Maurice Ajwang.
“I’m proud of my teammates for another crucial win that cements our place at the top,” Shikhalo said. “KCB is competing for titles this season, and we’re ready to face any opponent. Keeping a clean sheet is always a great feeling, but I’m already focused on our next challenge.”
Striker Francis Kahiro, who rejoined KCB from Bandari at the start of the season, scored his third goal of the campaign. His form has earned him the trust of Coach Odhiambo to lead the attack, and he continues to deliver as KCB eyes its first-ever KPL title.
