Harambee Stars provisional squad for 2024 COSAFA Cup announced
Harambee Stars Assistant Coach Ken Odhiambo has announced the provisional squad for the upcoming 2024 COSAFA Cup, featuring a mix of seasoned players and promising young talents.
Notable inclusions are experienced players Anthony Akumu and Johnstone Omurwa, alongside U18 prodigies Amos Wanjala and Aldrine Kibet, who impressed at last year’s CECAFA U18 Championships.
The team will be under the leadership of Harambee Stars assistant coach Ken Odhiambo, with support from his senior national team colleague, William Muluya.
Preparations for the regional showpiece will commence with residential training starting on June 20, 2024, in Nairobi.
The 2024 COSAFA Cup is set to take place in South Africa from June 26 to July 7, 2024 and Kenya is placed in Group B alongside Zambia, Comoros and Zimbabwe.
Harambee Stars kicks off its campaign against Chipolopolo on Thursday 27th June at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
