Former Harambee Star Osborne Monday Appointed Kariobangi Legends Head Coach
Newly promoted FKF Division Two side, Kariobangi Legends Youth FC, has appointed former Harambee Stars midfielder Osborne Monday as their head coach for their debut season in the FKF Division Two Eastern League.
Osborne Monday previously played for Mathare United, Tusker FC, and Sofapaka FC in the Kenyan Premier League. He also had short stints with Al Shabab in Oman and Azam FC in Tanzania.
Kariobangi Legends Youth FC secured promotion after topping the Nairobi County Regional League Zone B with 110 points, finishing 16 points ahead of runners-up Lucky Summer Sports Club.
During the unveiling ceremony held at their training ground at Kariobangi North Primary School, club chairman Erick Otieno explained the decision to appoint Monday, citing his experience and familiarity with the region.
“We had four candidates who were interested in the position, but we chose Monday because he has all the qualities we were looking for. He also understands the tough playing conditions in the area, having played here before,” Otieno said.

The FKF Division Two Eastern Zone is set to kick off in the coming weeks.
