After a two-week international break, the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League resumes this weekend with seven matches scheduled for Saturday and Sunday across five stadiums.

On Saturday, Dandora Stadium will host a doubleheader, with Nairobi City Stars facing Bidco United. In their previous game, Bidco had to fight back in the second half to avoid an upset against Shabana. Meanwhile, at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, 2009 champions Sofapaka will aim to bounce back from their narrow 1-0 loss to 13-time champions Tusker FC as they take on FC Talanta, coached by Jackline Juma.

“Batoto Ba Mungu” are currently restricted from signing new players due to a FIFA-imposed transfer ban, meaning coach Robert Matano must continue with the existing squad until the ban is lifted.

Newcomers Mara Sugar FC, who impressed with a 3-0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz in their season opener, will travel to Mombasa Sports Club to face Bandari FC in what promises to be a stern test.

AFC Leopards, strengthened by the recent signings of Ovella Ochieng, Peter Mabok, and Sydney Lokale, will host Posta Rangers at Machakos. Ingwe secured these players just before the transfer window closed, and they will be hoping to build on their promising start.

Thomas Trucha’s squad opened their season with a resounding 4-0 victory over Mathare United. The Slum Boys, who were highly active during the transfer window, signing 14 new players, will be looking to bounce back when they take on Kakamega Homeboyz at Mumias Sports Complex. Notably, Kelvin Kimani rejoined Mathare from AFC Leopards, and Peter Thiong’o has returned to Kakamega-based Homeboyz.
