Tusker to face Shabana without key players

Tusker FC will take on Shabana FC in an FKF Premier League match in Kisii without three key players as they look to start off the year on a high. The brewers will be without midfielder Chris Erambo and striker Ryan Ogam for the duel, as they are away with the national team Harambee Stars in the Mapinduzi Cup in Pemba Island.

Shaphan Siwa meanwhile has left the club at the expiry of his contract to join Tanzania’s Kagera Sugar.

However, coach Charles Okere remains optimistic that even despite the absence of the three, his side still has what it takes to battle for victory.

“Of course we will miss them because they are a very key part of the squad, but we are also happy that they have a chance with the national team. We want to send as many players as possible to the national team. This is a chance for other players in the squad to show that they can step up,” said the tactician.

Shabana will also be without two key players, winger Darius Msagha who is with Harambee Stars while striker Mathew Tegisi has left the club at the end of his contract.

Tusker are seeking maximum points that will propel them top of the log, while Shabana are looking to close into the top five with potential victory.
