Tusker off to flying start as FKF Premier League 2024-25 season kicks off
Tusker FC kicked off the FKF Premier League with the only win of the opening day, narrowly defeating Sofapaka FC 1-0 at the Machakos Stadium on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Bidco United rallied to secure a draw against Shabana FC at the Thika Stadium, while visiting Bandari FC settled for a 1-1 draw against Posta Rangers, also at Machakos Stadium. KCB FC, on the other hand, played out a goalless draw against Kariobangi Sharks.
Tusker’s victory was sealed in the 70th minute when Harambee Stars international Chrispine Erambo scored after a goalless first half. In the build-up to the goal, Erick Balecho delivered a corner from the right to the back post. Patrick Kaddu connected with it, but his shot was blocked, allowing Erambo to fire home the rebound.
With this win, the Brewers temporarily top the table, pending tomorrow’s matchday games.

At the Police Sacco Stadium, KCB and Kariobangi Sharks battled to a goalless draw, highlighting an afternoon of missed opportunities.
