The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) will host the draw for the 2024 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania from February 1-28.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has opted for Nairobi to host the draw, and Kenya is also expected to host the opening ceremony at either the Nyayo or Kasarani Stadium.

The much-anticipated tournament is uniquely reserved for African footballers plying their trade in their domestic leagues. A total of 19 countries will compete for the title, with 16 joining the three co-hosts.

Already, 14 have qualified with two more remaining.

Defending champions Senegal will lead the charge of teams which will descend in East Africa for the tournament, as well as debutants Central Africa Republic. Two-time champions DR Congo, who won the tournament last time it came to East Africa, 2016 in Rwanda, have also qualified.
