Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere has admitted that his side was beaten flat out by AFC Leopards in a 4-1 drubbing at the Dandora Stadium on Wednesday evening. The Brewers suffered their biggest defeat in the league over the last two seasons putting a crushing end to their four-match winning run.

Okere, speaking after the match, said his side was out of sorts in the match.

“Congratulations to AFC Leopards, their strategy was spot on today. As for us, it was a bad day in office and our plans did not go as expected. We take the tough lessons and we move on. This is football; sometimes what you plan doesn’t work and we just move on and focus on the next match,” the tactician said.

He added; “Conceding a penalty was the turning point because I believe we could have done better in that situation. We conceded again twice early in the second half and that really worked against us. We started on a slow and by the time we had started looking for goals it was too late.”

The brewers had been on a good run and the defeat dents a bit of their confidence. However, Okere is confident they will put that defeat behind their backs and focus on the next game against Bidco United on Sunday.

Ovella Ochieng scored from a rebound after Tusker keeper Joseph Ochuka had saved Sydney Lokale’s penalty before second half goals from Lokale, Victor Omune and Boniface Minyendo put the brewers to the sword.

Boban Zirintusa scored the consolation for Tusker five minutes to time.
